END OF CERVICAL CANCER
We have developed a new, safe, and affordable HPV vaccine that can end cervical cancer.
We need your help to make that happen.
THE PROBLEM
In 2018, more than 500,000 women across the globe were diagnosed with cervical cancer, and more than 300,000 women lost their lives to the disease. Cervical cancer is caused by long-term infection by a virus called HPV, and it can be prevented by vaccination with an HPV vaccine. HPV is also responsible for cancers of the throat, penis, anus, vulva, and vagina.
The challenge is to get the HPV vaccine to everyone who needs it.
WHO?
Cervical cancer affects women.
More than 90% of cervical cancer deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries.
WHY?
There are several barriers which prevent widespread prevention of cervical cancer by vaccination. Vaccine cost and a lack of trust or understanding of the vaccine are major barriers.
To bring about the end of cervical cancer, first we need a more affordable HPV vaccine.
We have developed one.
Then, we need to build relationships with physicians and communities, so that concerns and lack of understanding of the HPV vaccine can be openly discussed.
